Ford is a lovely older gentleman who came to us from a local animal shelter.  He appears to have been well cared for, and we are surprised that he was not claimed.  He clearly misses his family, but can be consoled with lots of attention. Like most Dalmatians, he wants to be so close to his people that he is touching them.  If you like to snuggle on the couch, Ford is the dog for you. He will be happiest in a home where he won’t have to spend much time alone.  He gets along very nicely with other dogs, and ignores cats.  He loves all people, and will make an effort to speak to new people he meets.  Sadly, none of them have understood what he is trying to tell us.  He is a silly boy who will entertain you with his antics.

Ford  has some health concerns.  Although he gets around quite well and is still managing stairs, he is sinking in the back, so we would prefer a home without many stairs. He gets along with the big dogs in his foster home, but finds it painful when they bump him.  He would be happier with smaller dogs for companions, or as an only dog. He is taking Gabapentin to manage his pain.  He still enjoys a daily walk, but has a limit of about half a mile.  Ford also has a grade 6 heart murmur.  He is fostered in  Snohomish. If you  would like to meet him, please fill out our adoption inquiry form.
